Abia is a first-floor one-bedroom inside Abia The Condominiums on Shortwood Road, a gated development in Kingston 8, directly across from Stella Maris Prep.

The layout is open-plan: a sectional sofa and wall-mounted TV on one side, a full kitchen with an electric range, microwave and fridge on the other, and the bedroom just off the living area. Everything is new, from the tiled floors to the rain shower and the blackout curtains in the bedroom.

It suits a couple, a solo traveller, or anyone in Kingston for a stretch of work who would rather come home to somewhere quiet than to a hotel corridor.

Gated, spacious, and genuinely quiet

Abia The Condominiums sits behind a manned front gate on Shortwood Road. Security is on site around the clock and will be expecting you.

The grounds are unusually open for Kingston. The blocks are set well apart with lawn and breathing room between them, rather than packed shoulder to shoulder the way most new developments in the city are, and that is a large part of why it stays so quiet.

You get a parking space assigned to the unit, so there is no circling for a spot after a late flight, and extra guest parking at the front if someone visits.
